The place

VA Greater Los Angeles Healthcare System serves veterans across Los Angeles and the surrounding counties. HUD-VASH, a joint program of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development and the Department of Veterans Affairs, pairs housing vouchers with VA case management to help those veterans find and keep a home.

The plan

In June 2022, VA Greater Los Angeles Healthcare System awarded American Group Contrax (AGX-LLC) a contract for housing specialist services supporting HUD-VASH. AGX describes the work as helping Veterans find available housing, contact landlords, arrange property viewings, secure transportation to housing appointments and navigate rental terms. AGX Group is a government contracting firm founded by CureX co-founder De'Andre B. Wells.
