The place
Cal State San Bernardino serves the Inland Empire of Southern California. CREATE Academy connects the region's schools, the university and industry, so students can move from early exposure in school through college and into careers.
The plan
In May 2026, CSUSB and a group of education and industry partners formalized the CREATE Academy partnership to expand college access, STEM learning and workforce pathways. The first phase, a spring and summer 2026 pilot, includes a residential "Makers of Wonder" summer camp at CSUSB for students in grades 6 to 12, a pre-college STEM experience for rising high school juniors and seniors, a workforce readiness series with job shadowing and internship exploration, and an educator exchange with a summer residency for teachers.
