A nonprofit early childhood education provider in Alabama serves young children and their families across its community. To reach more families, it planned a new purpose-built facility, and it needed a partner who could take the project from that intent to a plan that lenders and local government could support.

CureX worked with the nonprofit for about a year as its development and funding advisor. The work started with the funding. We built the funding strategy for the facility, shaped the project so lenders could underwrite it, and prepared it for their review.

At the same time, we prepared the site. We coordinated the clearing and preparation of the land so construction could begin once the financing was in place.

We also managed the design. We worked with the architect through the full set of drawings and the renderings, keeping the design in line with the nonprofit’s program and the funding plan.

Throughout the project, we represented it in meetings with local officials. The facility is now in predevelopment, with the site prepared and the design complete.
