The place

Grand Blanc Charter Township has planned a technology village in this part of the township since 2008. It amended its master plan in 2013, completed a framework study in 2016 and adopted a zoning ordinance written for the district in 2017. The site sits at Baldwin and South Saginaw roads along I-75, beside the Ascension Genesys campus.

The plan

The township's plan calls for a technology-driven center that combines knowledge-based employment with homes, recreation, dining and entertainment. The land is owned by Tech Village Development Group, a group of local owners, which is advancing the district as its master developer.
